Bacitracin is used as a topical preparation (since it is toxic and has poor oral bioavailability). In terms of adverse reactions only, in comparison with bacitracin, white petrolatum possesses an equally low infection rate and minimal risk for induction of allergy.

Function:
1) Inhibiting cytomemtranes synthesis and hindering the process of dephasphorization so as to affect phosphatide function and cell's transmission of mucopeptide compound.
2) Inhibiting protoplasmic function and integrating protoplasm with cytomembrane so as to canes the discharge of various ions, amino acids, pyridines and purines in the cell.

Application Area:
1)Bacitracin Zinc is used to prevent  minor skin infections caused by small cuts, scrapes, or burns. Bacitracin works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria. It belongs to a class of drugs known as antibiotics.
2)Bacitracin Zinc is mainly used as feed additives.
